E-Waste Recycling Event 3/17

The Town of Batesburg-Leesville in conjunction with Lexington County Solid Waste will be hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, March 17th from 9am until 1pm at Batesburg-Leesville High School. Residents will have the opportunity to dispose of computers, televisions, printers, stereos, other electronics, tires, and paper.

Accepted items will include:

Tires – limit 8 per resident of Batesburg-Leesville. Must not be on rims and only passenger or light truck tires will be accepted. No commercial dealers will be allowed to dispose of tires.

Paper Shredding – paper only. No binders, books, or plastic-coated paper (magazines). Staples and paperclips are acceptable.

E-Waste – up to 8 items per visit from Lexington County residents and small businesses. Items can be computers, TV’s, copiers, VCR and DVD players, fax machines, telephone systems, cell phones household electronics including stereo’s, radio’s, PDA’s and electronic game systems. Electronic waste must have been generated in Lexington County for this event, and residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling.

This event is in partnership with Advanced Disposal, Lexington County Solid Waste Management, Shred With Us, PalmettoPride, and Lexington School District Three.
