At the August 9, 2021 Town Council Meeting the Batesburg-Leesville Town Council voted to approve the bid of CBD Construction for three sidewalk repair projects.  CBD was the low bidder out of five competitive bids which were opened on July 29, 2021.  The project was advertised on the town's website as well as the South Carolina Business Opportunities (SCBO.gov) website.  The total cost of the project is $46,238.23 with $35,000 being awarded through the C Fund process with Lexington County.  The Town of Batesburg-Leesville will pay for the difference, $11,238.23, from Hospitality Tax funds as the sidewalks are all within the Batesburg Business District.

The sidewalk repairs are for the replacement of broken sidewalks on North Oak Street, West Railroad Avenue and West Church Street.  The replacement is for the removal of all broken concrete with the replacement of new concrete in the same dimensional footprint.  The distances are 300', 700' and 210' respectively.
